The platform aims to consolidate and incorporate export information and data to a single source, to simplify and guide new and expanding exporters to up to date, regulatory information and insights to save businesses time in the planning phases and the goal to increase Australian business to export overseas.

We were engaged to assist with the user experience and user interface on two features within the overarching export guide online service. To capture the knowledge and insights from Austrade posts around the world, to help exporters understand some of the different facets of exporting, they should think about based on their commodity and market combination. We worked within the multi-disciplinary design team alongside content design and user research roles.

The team worked with various overseas posts and localised business development managers to understand and capture on the ground insights, including laws and regulations, demand trends, and doing business in a market. Through the discovery and usability research conducted during and post-beta launch, the service does bring together information and insights in a 'one-stop-shop' around a market selection.
